Hi all ! I hate to ask this but then teachers always said there was no such thing as a stupid question :) When looking at max equuipment/RV length for sites is that including the tongue/hitch? I am pretty new at this and I am pulling 35.8 feet from the ball. The camper is a model 30ft and measures 32 feet usable inside.

Hey Rick - Not sure why no one has taken a shot at this, so I'll try.

I'd go with the max figure and round it up to 36'. This way you've got the worst case and won't end up trying to put six pounds in a five-pound sack.

That said, however, you can usually back your trailer over the back end of the site to "gain" a couple extra feet of pad length. Sometimes tress or brush make this impossible, but since our rig is 40', we've come to lean on this option heavily.

Don't forget your truck. Not all sites have parking and frequently the forest service, national parks, etc. do NOT allow parking off of the paved sites. Keeps the vegetation from getting mashed into a dirt parking lot!

Hope you enjoy your trailer!

Have had Class c, TT and 5th wheels. For myself I found a 5th wheel from 28 to 30 feet with a super slide is about the max size I wanted to use for traveling the country. A lot of state parks cant take over 30 feet. This is just my opinion and others will have theirs.
