Latest on vehicle stickers?

For the most part every installation you travel to will require your vehicle to have a DD Form 2220(decal) with the exception of USAF installations. Like mentioned before all USAF installation requirements is to have a military ID to gain entry. Now, where im currently stationed at; (March AFB) if you are retired, last i heard was the Retirees Affairs Office will still issue decals to retirees. If you want to inquire more information, their number is (951)655-3023/3028. Hopefully this information helps, i know its a pain in the butt because everytime i head down to 32nd St Naval Base in San Diego, i have to go to their Pass and ID section and get a daily vehicle pass issued. Also, one more thing, there has been talks about bringing and issuing decals on USAF installations again. How soon is that though, im not sure. when i find out, i will post this immediately..

If arriving at Ft Knox and no decal one is requested to proceed back off Post and enter another gate that provides Customer Services and request a Visitors Pass. The guard had no idea if a policy change was coming down the pike. Inconvenient, but does encourage one to get the decal.

This is all new news. I just got a base sticker yesterday (MCB). None of this was mentioned.

I'm vacationing at Navy Seal Beach in California and at the suggestion of the gate sentry I went to pass and ID here to get a replacement for my badly faded but still valid Air Force vehicle sticker.

I was issued a vehicle sticker but noticed it would expired in 11 months...jun of 12. I asked why and was told the Navy is doing away with vehicle stickers and by next summer they will no longer be required or issued.

We went to the Navy Sub Base in Kingsbay, Ga. a couple of weeks ago. (July, 2011) Stickers were definitely required there. We were required to get them to be allowed to drive on base.

Kingsbay is where we got ours too. They gave me a 2017 expiration date!!
