Canadian Forces campgrounds

We are planning a trip to Alaska next year via the Alaska Highway which, as you all know, runs through Canada.

Do Canadian military forces bases have camping facilities? Will they allow retired US military to stay at them? Any specific ones that are recommended?

If I recall correctly, the AFES RV and Campground book has a list of Canadian campgrounds that allow us to camp and visit, and the going rates.
