Feel like I just found the Mother Lode website here!! I am retired Navy, my fiancee retired Guard with a few years of active duty thrown in. I am 21 years regular Navy and he is Gray area retiree. I have lived in a 27ft Class C for 5 months while traveling FL-CA a few years back with my ex-husband (picture will be here if the link works). 91 Conquest sold it in 2006. It has always been my retirement dream to spend 3 months of the year in Rota Spain and the rest in the states RV'ing around the country. The perfect retirement plan, :laugh:
I have sold my fiancee on this plan also. Somehow he had never made a plan for his retirement was just worried about having enough money. He has never had or spent much time in a motorhome. We will be ready to hit the road in about 7 years but for now I plan on attending some RV shows and trying to keep up with the newest features..eco, gas vs hybrid, solar, whatever is on the horizon. Also renting a RV in the future and taking a trip somewhere to give him the feel of it.
Not sure what the future in this type of living will hold should be interesting to see.
For now I will be reading on this forum for a while and checking out what I can learn from your experiences.
