With fuel prices so high this park is just to far off the beaten path. The AF has all sorts of land here, even the Golf Course is off post and about 15 miles from the RV park.

We stayed at Offutt FAMCAMP, called Base Lake FAMCAMP, for three weeks in June. This is a nice, well-maintained FAMCAMP situated on a small lake. The camp host was great and we throughly enjoyed our time there.

I second the above comments regarding both the FamCamp and the host!
While I do agree that the campground is off base, it by no means is the only FamCamp located off base. That can be a plus, especially if you are located on/near an AF base (planes) or an Army base (cannons, etc.).

We have stayed at Offutt several times over the last 5 years. Yes it's off base, but if you drive around the base you can see why. There just isn't room for an on base facility. It really isn't that far fm anything. It is easy to access Omaha with all of it's possibilities. Just hook up to the interstate system just west of Belllevue. The park office is well run. They don't put up with any nonsense and there has always been at least one CG host on duty every time we have been there. If you are heading East or West on I-80, or North or South on I-29, it's a piece of cake to make the stop at Offutt.
