Malstrom AFB, MT

Does anyone know if Malstrom is still active? I notice on Google Earth that the runways are closed and there are no aircraft, so it makes me wonder

I think what flies at Malmstrom would come out of a silo and not the kind that stores corn.

YeS Malmstrom is still active. No more KC135s, but the missile mission is still going strong and will probably grow with the Iran situation building.
There are 2 RV places there now. The old one on base and a newer one just off base. I will be going that way in the summer.
I was there for 5 years when the refuelers were there. Very beautiful area and if you like to fish, rainbow trout are pplentiful on the missouri river which is close to the base.
Also i recommend Glacier National Park and of course Yellowstone is only 2 hours away. I think Malmstrom has a camp near both national parks.
