Okay Guys & Gals – this will be my first post on these forums and I’d like to start by introducing myself to y’all.
I’m a retired USAF MSgt (1980) and a retired DoD civilian (2004). I worked as a radar technician for 20 years, 5 months, and 4 days in the AF, and then got an engineering degree from Weber State College (then – now a full university) in Ogden, UT and worked as a radar systems engineer for almost 20 years.
My bride of 52 years and I hail from Grand Rapids, MI but have lived in Utah since February 1977 when we first arrived at Hill AFB.
We both like to hunt, fish, and bust up small clay disks with shotguns in a wonderful sport called Skeet. We travel some to pursue those interests and have owned just about every RV contraption devised by man except a Class B motorhome. We are currently on our 4th truck camper which we just downsized to this year from a Class C motorhome. We can now camp in just about every campground available without worrying about site size. And we can haul our 16ft Tracker Deep-V boat when we go.
I’ve been up and down these forums and I can’t seem to find a board set aside for newbies like myself to introduce ourselves and be greeted and welcomed by the rest of you folks. And that’s why my first post is being made on this board; I’d like to suggest a board for us new folks to introduce ourselves to the rest of y’all. I know the earth will keep on turning if you don’t create such a board, but I thought it might be a nice addition to what already looks like a nice place to visit often.
So there you go – my first post. I hope I can contribute some useful stuff in the future. Take care and travel safe.
