My wife of 33yrs and I just have to get outside. We were thinking of buying a CCC cabin in one of our state parks but after our young Army life, we're used to seeing new things and meeting new people. So we decided on a travel trailer, Shasta Oasis 21CK, that can be pulled by my Honda Ridgeline. I've pulled lots of trailers and boats but never a TT. So I'm new to the TT world. We like our military connections and so this site seems like a good fit.

Welcome aboard! I'm sure you'll love your new trailer and the freedom that comes with it. Get out and explore this wonderful nation! Staying at military campgrounds is usually a good option, but not your only choice. Feel free to ask questions, as there's a ton of knowledge on this website.

Congrats! it is the best time for the dollar. We go all over & you have the independance of your own home on your back bumper. Be adventurous yet thrifty. Ask alot of questions and keep your eyes open to other peoples methods of set up, take down and enjoy yourselves. You are entering into a pop culture of good people. I have never really met any bad ones. My one major pointer is this, bring nothing that is truly breakable for your first few trips. Cheap stuff is easier to dispose of if that happens and is alot less discouraging. Overpackkin is easy to do. you will be surprised how little you really need. Any questions just ask.. Eastern Pa. is awesome to see via RV. Best of luck..

Thank you Oriole. Good tip about packing light. We're telling each other "this is about keeping it simple and stress free". We've booked one weekend a month in PA's state parks that are within a couple hours of the house. We can't wait for the TT to be delivered.

We started out with a TT also and our first trip was in a state park and how naïve we were first time out. So excited about using the TT we brought some cinnamon buns along and after opening them put them on top of the refrigerator. OOOOOOOOOPS next morning had a trail of ants climbing up the refrigerator. Anyone else have a first time out OOOOOOOOOPS to share?
