I've been checking the campground list for awhile

Thanks for the tips! We ask for discounts lots of places - have gotten great hotel discounts when I'm traveling even without him because I have the MWR card too. Stayed at a 4 Star resort last week for $79 a night in Orlando when their normal room rate is $299 thanks to the military ID.

Lowe's and Home Depot always give 10% off with the card. Hubby usually asks, we actually got an extra $1000 off our camper from Camping World by asking for a military discount too.

We are from NY - but are looking to relocate south in the coming years. Part of our big trip is scouting areas in North and South Carolina - requirements are near a VA hospital but would like to be close enough to shop on bases too for cheaper groceries and household goods. Columbia area is our first choice now but may change once we visit.

We should make up a sticker for this site we can put on our campers so we can recognize people from the forums when out and about - kind of like the Good Sam stickers.

Created one years ago, but it wasn't well accepted. I agree the price is high, but they are made one at a time when ordered. You can see/buy the U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks website decal here. There's other items available as well at this location.

Awesome I ordered one! Sure the price per is high but I can afford $5 so I don't mind.
