First off - WOW. Thank you to the site's developer and all other supporters - this is WONDERFUL.
After retiring permanently in '09, my wife and I have traveled extensively across the US - logging about 300,000 miles. We traveled as far north as the Arctic Circle and spent time is each of the 50 states. We had a ball. Having criss-crossed the country more times than we now recollect, we both allowed that maybe it time to start traveling more to destinations - coastal locations, mountains, desert, etc. and stay for awhile (about 2-3 weeks).
Also, 1 of our children with family - following a career opportunity - moved to another state. Three of our grandbabies went with them.
The destination travel and time with our grandbabies coincided and we bought our travel trailer.
Thank goodness for travel forums AND more specifically for this one. This community has really helped us make a nice transition. While we are not full timers - we are about 1/3 to 1/2 timers.
Using this forum, we have made new friends and enjoy the feeling of family that always exists with military retirees. While we were traveling the US early in retirement, we saved lots of funds by staying at BOQs. But most of all was the sense of family that we have now found again in our TT.
Again - THANKS to the site owner and all of our extended family.

I'm glad I found this site. Sure looks helpful as we plan a trip from the Texas coast to Oregon. We've only stayed at two military campgrounds Tindel AFB and Warren AFB. I'm 100% service connected VNV. Our plans are to stay on post as often as possible.

Welcome to you both. This is a great resource to the military camper. Glad to see new folks registering and participating. I've never understood why there were 2 members on the site and 200 guests. Hopefully more of the guests with take a moment to register.
