Cleared for Take Off

Hi, I been peeking around this site for a little while. Leave it to an AF guy to look around and ask questions before moving in. Any way I am here, ya'll are great lots of stuff to learn here. I am USAF Reserve retired, MSGT (E-7), I got out after 10 active in the 80's and went to work for the FAA. After 5 out I reenlisted in the Reserve and did another 10. I retired in 2003 on the same day my son graduated from basic. My FAA career ends tomorrow March 31, 2015. Yes I was an Air Traffic Controller, and now Im taking off. we got a new 5er and truck, and are leaving Virginia to see the west coast, hope to meet/see some of you out there.

I started as a wrench bender, Crew Chief on F-15 at Langley AFB Va long time ago. Saw the light from the tower and got an inside job.

JJ the water is fine jump right in. Almost same as you, 8 active then retired E7 WV ANG Fire Department in 2004, retired from ZDC in Aug 2013 after 23 years with FAA, 32 years fed service. Life is good out here, we have been full time RVers since Jan 2013 and have traveled southern US for past 2 winters and spend summer 6 months in Somerset PA. Haven't missed work one bit. Enjoy the easy life and slow down and smell the roses. We might cross paths one day.

Check out Pin Oak RV Campground in Natchez State Park along your travels. Site 33 and 34 have the best scenery on a hill overlooking the lake
