Hi - We are both retired military. Navy(me) and Army/Air Force(my husband). We moved into our 33ft Safari Sahara 2 years ago in April. My husband is currently a WG working on the Coast Guard Base down here in Miami. Although we haven't traveled extensively yet in our RV, couple trips to TN to visit family, we are looking forward to his retirement and the beginning of our travel adventure. We plan on Space Aing and RV traveling around the world. We talked about the RV thing for a couple years and then decided to go ahead and just do it. What better place to be "stuck" and paying off the rig than down here in RV land, south FL. We do have a house in N.Florida but only get there randomly for long weekends, when we don't want to go anywhere else, like the FL Keys. Love the fact that 1. The military has campgrounds on the bases around the U.S. and 2. That there is a forum and website like this one to keep up to date and in touch with folks out there!

Welcome to the website! Glad you found us. Be sure to leave reviews, photos, and updated info on the military campgrounds you visit. It's the users here that help keep this website the best source of information on our U.S. Military Campgrounds and RV Parks.

I'm sure you'll find traveling in your Safari very rewarding. We've been traveling in our motorhome for almost 12 years now, with no end in sight.
