Playing it on the safe side is never a bad plan. If the weather is less than ideal then that's just another reason to move. The storm in question is not even a tropical storm yet but if it gets into the gulf it could intensify quickly and if folks start evacuating the Keys, you want to be out of there before that happens. Best guess right now is that's not going to happen but with these storms you never know. Manatee Cove is a good place to be while watching the storm because it's right on the major north/south corridor (I-95).
