Yet another newbie.

Yep, another newbie wanders in. I'm a DoD civilian and an Army vet (87-91, 4th ID). A pleasure to meet y'all. My wife actually discovered this site when we were planning a history tour of the southern battlefields of the Revolution this past summer. We're tent campers, so we tend to gravitate towards recreation areas. Our field residence is an REI Kingdom 8, with the vestibule and garage attachments. Yeah, okay - technically it's Glamping. Give an old mechanic a break. I gotta have a garage.

Welcome to the site! There's plenty of military campgrounds that allow tents. There's even a few that only allow tents - no RV's.
