Hi all!
It's been ages since I've been apart of a forum, but in search for some great military friendly campgrounds I came across this group in a google search!

A little intro, I'm Brittany and I will most likely be the one always posting since I do all of the planning.
We're a Navy family, husband is currently AD (14 years in) and camping the New England area for the remainder of our tour up here.

Our chaotic luggage consists of 3 boys.. 5yrs, 4yrs and 1yr as well as a 7 month old Brittany Spaniel.

We just upgraded from a hybrid (NEVER AGAIN) to a 2016 Jayco White Hawk 25BHS.

Our goal is to take advantage of the Tents for Troops organization but would also like to get a nice list of campgrounds that offer military discounts.

I look forward to hearing camping stories, tips and great places to take the family!

well welcome, anyhow as to mil discounts kinda hard to say. Some places have them a lot dont. I know of 1 KOA in texas that gives it but not many others. You can join good sam and 10% at a lot of the commercial campgrounds, the mil campgrounds are set prices and no discounts. Generally we dont stay on the bases, although we have in the past. We KOA as they have standards to be met and that is a good thing. generally always clean with good parking spots. They have good things like pools and stuff for kids, but we dont have that issue anymore just the 2 of us. Last mil we stayed at was in huntsville ala, was close to friends other than that nothing special. We did enjoy the stay at point magoo some years ago when kids were small.

But whatever dont worry about the 10% in most places as it will barely cover any taxes. Just enjoy. Oh forgot camp tuthill in flagstaff is a good campground for going to grand canyon and other places.
