Five Flags Campground

I am a new member and noticed that in the Campground listings, you still have Five Flags Campground at Selfridge ANGB in Michigan on your list. The base has made a decision to close down the campground as of June 15 for budgetary cutbacks. It was a great benefit for the service members in SE Michigan because there are not hardly any campgrounds, civilian or otherwise, in the SE part of the state. I live in Texas and found out about it when I started making plans for a visit to Michigan. I lived right outside Selfridge for 15 years.

Thanks for the reminder. We were aware of the situation at Five Flags but June 15th slipped on me. Many members here attempted to have them managing the campground contracted it out, as many of the other services at Selfridge were done. But they wanted the land instead.
