we stayed at LORA (Ft. Leonard Wood) once a long time ago and the site we had assigned was not level :side: (and that's an understatement). We also don't remember which sites are the most level and long enough for a 33' class A with slides. Anyone out there have a recommendation?

About a year are a little more ago they put in a few more camp sites where the boat storage was when you first enter the camp ground. It is level there and the grounds were gravel. Im not sure if they finished these sites up yet.

We live in the area and yes the sites are finished and have level payved sites now. They are out in the sun and have no shade at all. If you go there and want a site there just ask for the ones in the new area. If you go when it is really hot, your rig would fit in the smaller older sites, and even though they may not be level, they do have some shade. The only thing is they are 30amp. The new ones are 50 amp.

Recently being declared 100% disabled, we tried our first FamCamp and it was LORA. How great of a place!!
We were in a B, so didn't require a lot of space. Our site was terrific and had a fantastic view of the lake. The upper area, for larger units seemed to be relatively new and quite nice. Not much in the way of trees, and a bit close together for us, but all in all, very nice.
