I know this isnt in the south but it close. We stay at a cottage for 4 days . It was like a five star hotels . They also to my understanding have 3 free camp sites there. I saw them an they look nice they was by a river. It is a small base. They let retiree eat at the galley had wonderful food $ 2.50 breakfast $4.00 for lunch. The base had a small exchange and comissary. Also had a club/restaurant with great prices. If you in for an adventure visit this base it is in the mountains of WV the closet Wal mart is 36 miles LOL'
