FT Belvoir Update

We use the RV storage lot at Ft Belvoir. Yesterday, I went to pay my bill at Outdoor rec and asked about the progress of the new campground. They have a drawing posted on the wall of the layout, and I was told that the contract has been awarded and the contractor has a January 2011 completion date deadline. Looks like it will be pretty good. Nothing huge. Believe it was approx 30 pull thru sites and about 20-25 back in sites, all full hookups. Tent sites, a pavillion, and cabins too. Looks very promising. Will plan to pay bill in person every three months so I can check on progress....

Does anyone have any 2010 news about Ft. Belvoir RV Camping? Are there any spaces completed, with hookups? Prices?

What about storage?

We are newbies...just got our 374 motorhome and looking for some quick trips out of DC.

Cheatham annex in VA is a nice Park close to Williamsburg for a getaway.

I'll try and check status on my next Commissary run.. Last time that I checked they had plans/sketches posted in the Outdoor Rec office off of Little Road.

Below link is where I remember the future park to be located.

BTW. Ft Belvoir has express bus (only a dozen or so stops) to the Huntington Metro Station.
