Looking for advice! was created by jerry555lillie
I'm planning a trip to DC next summer(2012) and am undecided which fam camp I would like to get reservations. Andrews or Fort Meade. I see advantages to both so am open to comments to help make a decision. Have a 22' trailer and enjoy using Metro. Any thoughts?

Don't rule out Lunga Park at Quantico. Truly a beautiful park.
If you are only going to be there for a few days, think about Cherry Hill Park in MD. A little pricy but access to DC is very easy since you can catch a Metro bus in the park to the Metro station just a couple of miles away. The Metro will get you to close proximity to all of the major attractions in DC. The reasonable price for the Metro and lack of any hassle with DC traffic really makes up for the cost of the campground.
It is a great facility but like everything else in the DC area it is pricy.
