I could not figure out how to update this campground but I found a website link and more info on it.
Maybe Larry can update the number of campsites from this link: www.valdezalaska.org/where-to-stay/camping the actual MWR Campground website link on that page did not work for me. it shows this info: The campground offers 85 Standard Camp sites, 21 RV Pads (20/30, 50 AMP). RV Dump Site, Hot showers, and six latrines. All sites include picnic tables and fire rings

Thanks for the update. However, I don't publish commercial web links. Also, I need the breakdown of the 85 sites. How many are dry, tent, 30amp, and 50amp? I can't find that info anywhere. Let me know if you know the breakdown.

kSmith, I stayed there about 3 years ago. Mud hole! Dirty bath house.
Terrible sites.
Hit and miss trying to catch up with the woman who collected the money.
Full of civilians who had no connection with the military.
The camp ground in town on the water front is nicer. But yes cost more.
Hopefully, the place has been cleaned up since my last stay.
We enjoyed the area. Did kayaking. Hiked some. Fished. Drove over from Anchorage and rode ferry to Whittier.
