Review Detail

This was our second stay at Mayport. This stay was even better than the last. We were parked on the front roll. Our view was wonderful. We saw one submarine and many ships to include the Dwight D. Eisenhower that came in for a few days. The beach is the best we've ever been to. The laundry building was completed and very nice. Everyone seems to go out of their way to make your stay great. We were in a Class A towing a car and had no problems getting on the base or in the campground. The only negative we had was the wireless. It was poor to say the least. No problem with the computers in the roost but I wasn't able to get work email on it. No problems with AT&T in the area. Last stay, two years ago we witnessed the relocation of turtle nests on the beach. This time we actually saw the baby turtles leaving the nest and starting their life. Fuel prices were actually higher than off base. We love this place and with the new management, I can only see it getting better. We will be back.
