Fletcher Fork RV park was a nice scenic place. We had a FHU pull thru site, (#4), but it was so short that we could not park the car and MH both on the site. Our AT&T cell phones worked most of the time, but not always. There is no WiFi anywhere on the entire base, so we went to the library or to McDonalds to check email. My wife complained about the traffic going by...
We stayed at the newer RV park off of Patton Rd., NOT the campground. They have pull thru spaces with large concrete pads, and full convenient hookups. The bathrooms are ok, but not as nice as in other parks. There is no shade at the sites. The WiFi is very poor, as we lost it a lot.
The RV park has a lot of sites filled with students in schools on base. Rick, the park manager was very nice and we had one of the new sites, (#60). The free WiFi worked great and the private, bathrooms with a shower were very nice. They had a free ice machine and .75 washers and dryers. BBQ grilles were installed at the sites while we were there. My wife said the water didn't taste...
Camp Robbins has uneven concrete pads, no WiFi, poor tasting water, and a LONG list of rules. We will not come back again. It is not user friendly, but the bathrooms were nice and clean. Getting around the base was difficult for a newbie. It was fun to hear and see the fighter jets fly overhead in the morning.
This is a GREAT park. Wonderful sites, nice staff, clubhouse, free laundry, trail around the lake. It is the GOLD standard for military RV parks. Only thing that I would wish to see is diesel fuel sold on base. The staff had signs posted all over regarding poisonous snakes "on the move", so watch for them. We never saw any.
