I have to agree with the previous comments. I RV a lot and stay at a lot of military campgrounds and this one needs a lot of TLC. I do come here often though because it is located directly across from the beach. My first constructive comment is that Ft Fisher needs a camp host for obvious reasons. Camp hosts usually care about their RV parks and a lot of the issues the previous person mentioned would be taken...
I stayed at Pelican Point for a couple nights August 2018. As bad of shape as the Marine Corps base was in and how the scarey local community looked this has to be one of the nicest RV parks that I have stayed in. It's clean, new, and spacious. Spaces are concrete, oversized, and level. I was checked in by a lady named Lori who I found to be extremely pleasant, helpful, and friendly. This park had WiFi and...
Stayed here April 2018. FT Bragg has two RV parks. I chose the Ft Bragg Clay Target RV park as a personal preference because Smith Lake RV park suffers from 24/7 helicopter activity directly overhead. The FT Bragg Clay Target RV park is extremely quiet, peaceful, and the staff is great. It is actually located off of the official base but it is apart of FT Bragg. There are about 30 sites. I concur with all of the other posters opinions, but would add the helicopter activity from being right next door 6 days a week does get a little to much. I would recommend the other little known RV park on base, the Fort Bragg Clay Target Center. It is a great place and only has elec/water but has dump station on site. Sites are flat and level and management takes great care of the place.
