new User Map!!!!

The map isn't perfect.

Your default location is determined by your IP address. If you correct (move) your map marker, then return to the website later using a DIFFERENT IP address, the marker will be moved to this new IP address location. I know this is a problem for those of us who use dynamic (can change) IP addresses. I hope to (eventually) correct this and utilize a different method.

Not perfect? That has to be the coolest thing I have seen in a long time. The map will show where the full timers are while they are on the road and where us brick and stick people! It can be like a game, "Where's Larry". Nice addition!

I cannot find a convenient User Map tab on any of the pages. Is it somewhere not so obvious to me?

As is the case with several other members, I'm not listed or have a balloon. I was wondering if there is no ISP due to my using a cell phone data card for access to the net.

Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your statement. Logged in members can find the USER MAP option on the top menu (to the left of the FORUMS option).

If you're not listed in the map, it's because there's no geographical location cross referenced to your IP address. Even when using a cell phone or card for Internet access, you'll have an ISP (your cell company). I don't have a geographical location when I use Verizon's data access.

Read the rest of this message thread to see how you can manually add your location to the map. But this will change if your IP address changes.

It is not showing up for me either. I had it when we were up north but have not seen it since the site got hacked and had to be rebuilt.

Geez!! I'm loosing my mind!!

NOW you should be able to find it on the menu. (It helps if I take it out of testing).
