We stayed at the KARS for one night last Feb. Like previously mentioned it is an older place and getting tired. We found it adequate for our needs and would stay there again. There was a launch scheduled that night but it " failed to launch". It would have been spectacular to see from such a view. They require purchasing a membership ( $20) for the year and the site was $15. Make it a few nights and it's a bargain.
I spent a week at KARS last winter and after the first night was able to move to the front row on the bay. While I agree the facility could use a major fix I loved the location. Manatees, bald eagles, osprey nests, lots of great bird watching and a rocket launch made it a great stay.
