First post!
Has anyone stayed at a nice, clean campground in the north Georgia or south TN area? Some of the state park sites look pretty good, i.e. Amaicolla Falls.

Stayed at Amicolola Falls in fall of 06, it is a very beautiful park, remote, several miles to town. Great views of falls and great hiking trails. Park very small and hard to maneuver big rig. Very steep grade and narrow road to park. Worth the drive.

We live in central GA and there are several nice campgrounds around. In north GA you may want to try Track Rock campground or one of the state parks such as Unicoi. They are very nice. Also if you are traveling south on I75 and want to stay at a military campground, Robins AFB is at exit 146, at least I think that is the exit number. I just recently retired from civil service there and the famcamp is real nice. It was completely redone about 3 years ago. It is the perfect place if you want to spend a weekend or longer. The Museum of Aviation is located out the back gate and it is free. The Museum has been advertised as the place to visit and one of the best aviation museums outside of Wright Patterson AFB. Warner Robins also has a lot of good places to eat and shop.
Happy camping!

I always thought that Cloudland Canyou was one of the most beautiful places that we have ever camped. A little hard to get to, but well worth it.
Have been wanting to go to Vogel but haven't made it there yet.
Good luck

The falls are nice, I think I counted the steps up and it was 420+, but we didn't take the rv up there as it was our very fist time out and it looked very difficult for 5th wheel. We stayed at Leisure Acres in Cleveland GA which is 30 - 40 miles from the falls and close to Helen, GA which is a German style village.Leisure Acres was okay but nothing fancy -clean bathrooms and showers, tiny pool.
