In the northeast corner of GA, we found a very nice but pricey private campground in Dillard, GA, 10 miles or so north of Clayton. Sorry I can't recall the name. Good luck.
We found the State of Tenn's State parks to be great; one & all. We esp liked Henry Horton State park. Henry Horton State Park is located 40 miles south of Nashville on U.S. Hwy 31A between the towns of Chapel Hill and Lewisburg. If you play golf, don't miss it. It's only a 2 hr drive from Redstone Arsenal, (Huntsville, AL)-another of our favorite USMil Fam camps.
