KINGS BAY GA.

i have heard a lot about kings bay and everybody can't be wrong. think that's what i'll do. i called for a reservation but i'll have to wait until next month she said 120 days and the parks are not that far apart so i can try them both.do thank you monkey44 and iamsam for all your input will get back and let you know how things turned out.

will stop by in fact i call today for reservaions but was told wait until Feb since i want to come in june. and i'll check out pelican roost while i'm down there. thanks for info guys.

We love Kings Bay. It is definitely the gold standard for other military Famcamps to work to attain. And, there is a nice pool with water slides that we enjoyed.

The hosts, Charlie and Missy, make this campground second to none!! 5 Star facility!

Late July 2011 spent 4 days here because rumor is everyone MUST spend a day or two here sometime so we did and were not disappointed. Staff is fantastic. Campground is excellent and facilities are superior and surgically clean. Was to to watch for snakes but none showed their heads. Daily rides to Kingsland and St. Marys for sightseeing are fantastic. Commissary stocks some items that are hard to find on the outside. Weather was really HOT! Hey, its Late July. Personnel at gate are energetic and friendly. Absolutely a campground that sets the standards. Well worth stopping even if it does delay your trip.

I agree with Monkey it is a great stop over and the facility is ran very nicely abd well kept, and in Ga in that are a beach would not be wise because you will be swimming with the gators.
