thanks to you all. sounds intriguing just to get "way South" and explore. Diane and I and the dogs are pretty much free spirits. We can enjoy luxurious amenities but we can do rugged to. between the Keys and the Everglades we can probably do a couple/three weeks easily.
OBW: our "dogs" are a pair of Australian Cattle Dogs - Penny (blue) and Brianna (red).
We stayed at Midway last year. They have hookups around the small lake ( maybe 25 or so sites). Didn't know they had another area without HU's. Not far from Midway there's a place I want to try this year. I think it's called Burns lake. North of Rt. 41 and I've been told it's dry camping and no charge. Just would be nice to be a bit more remote and off the beaten track for a day or two. I also plan to check out some Corps. of Engineer sites. Along the St. Lucie canal they have some areas with a few RV sites. Very reasonable prices too. Help to balance the "PAIN" when we have to pay the higher prices at private CG's.
