Fiddler's Cove RV Park

Latest word from Fiddlers Cove is possible December/January opening. Access roads were blacktopped this week.

Talked to them several weeks ago and they said November at the earliest and no rates set yet.

Stopped by Dec 2, 2013--desk clerk said opening Feb 1, 2014

Fiddler's Cove posted on their Facebook page they are taking reservations starting today for February and March. January 27th reservations can be made with either Fiddler's Cove direct or DODLodging.net. Opening is February 1. They did post the rates, but have since removed the posting. From memory, $35 for waterfront, $30 for non-waterfront Active Duty and Retired. No indication on the new rules for the park with regard to length of stay, etc. Prior to refurbishment there were a lot of very long term guests.

:laugh: :woohoo: I now have in my hot little hands a reservation for 2 wks in Aug. Been a long time coming. We love San Diego and have missed our favorite campground at Fiddler's Cove. Unsure at this point what the amenities will be (besides W/E/S). Anyone know about Wifi or TV ? No biggie, just curious.

We are going into our second week at the new and improved Fiddler's Cove. The staff has done an amazing job with the renovations. If you have stayed here before the renovations, you will be pleasantly surprised at what they have done. They still have some things left to do - additional firepits, TV and WIFI, but they are coming along.
