Glad you decided on the Phaeton and I hope you love it as much as we did ours for 4 years. A friend of ours just bought the 36' also and compared to his Journey that was a 38' he has as much storage underneath and way more storage inside so he is just beaming and ready to travel big time. We were at the Red Bay facility about a month ago and their production is back to 8 units a day compared to 2 about a year ago, it was tough but they did survive the economy compared to so many other manufacturers. After you take possession of the RV and you go to Red Bay to have stuff tweaked take another tour on your own and ask where a 36' Phaeton is being built and then ask the tech all kinds of questions and it will make a lot of sense to you, they will always take the time to answer all the questions you have and if they cannot answer them they will direct you to the right person. In case you or your wife want any changes or additions to the RV many of the techs have a business on the side and will come to your RV after work hours to build or install or change what you want at a decent cost to you. We had changes on the Phaeton and Zephyr done this way and were never sorry we did. Good luck and hope to see you on the road.

Thanks on the words of encouragement. We ordered a 40' QTH Phaeton. It was actually already ordered for the dealers lot. It was the colors and interior we wanted. Since it hadn't started production yet, we were allowed to have some options deleted. So we ended up "ordering" the coach the way we want, yet saved a month of waiting.

We didn't get back to the factory to watch it being built. We were busy with family at Disney World. As of today, it should be out of paint and in the "fit and finish" section. Tiffin closed down for a week during the holidays. Delivery will probably be right before our "website gathering" at Tyndall AFB on the 20th. If it's too close to the 20th, we'll wait and return for delivery around the 23rd. But the delivery date is all speculation right now. Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll call for delivery next week. :silly: Okay, I can dream, can't I? I feel like a kid waiting for Santa.
