Have Class A with 400 cummins, Allison 3000 trans. sometimes on downshift get a loud clunk and check trans lite for a few seconds. Has happened twice. Trans trouble shooting codes says loose electrical connections. Does this sound right? Have 26000 miles. Suggestions.

You have an electronic tranny. Above the transs oil pan are wire connectors (that goes inside the tranns to activate the electric solenoids and converter lockup) .
Diconnect those wires and spray WD-40 on the tips and plug it back....If you still have same problem
then you have to drain and remove the oil pan (Tranns) and check connection at the solenoids.

Also check the fluid level and fluid cooler(Don't want to overheat the tranny)
