My inside and outside gauges have always read alike until I had the water heater switch replaced. After that the gauge in the rv was never correct. They found it to be bad and replaced it and both have been the same ever since. I have spray washers on my black tanks and clean them at every dumping and clean all the tanks with assorted soaps and bleaches twice a year while moving between locations so they get stirred up good.
