I think a lot of mature RV'ers eat out more or just cook in. I used to cook out all yhe time but just decided it was easier to pick up something or cook in.

I don't think there are any rules against their use and you get the benefit of the dishes & clean up being done by the wait staff, besides the Webber is a PITA @ clean-up time.

We use a Lodge Hibachi with natural lump charcoal. We use the electric charcoal starter to get the coals hot which takes just a few minutes. Really like the way it works for two people.

out in the west charcoal is often off limits and gas is legal. So out here gas is preferred even if it isnt the best for dutch ovens

I prefer charcoal over gas grills because I love to get the smoke flavor in the meats, but like someone said the gas grill is more handy and also smaller and quick to get going, but who is in a hurry when you are RVing right.
