Thanks to all for the input. I may be making a trip to the US in the late Summer/early Fall, so this is all good info.
Cheers,

JJ,

Welcome to the forum. As far as I'm concerned, Canooks are welcome anytime, anywhere. Must be, I married one. And don't worry about injecting you position into varous conversations. That is what a forum is all about, a variety of positions and advice.

While there may not be a prohibition against Canadian Forces visiting, there could be some difficulty in getting into some of the facilities. But, don't let that disuade you from trying. We have CF at a number of bases and they are welcome to use all of the facilities. You will never know unles you call and try.

John

Well, I might disagree. I thought that was a requirement to be a Marine?

Most of those either have some form of Ranger patrol or have a gate that is staffed. Also, might suggest checking to see if the CG is at a National Guard facility. Not so many "rules" there.

I heard a little on the negativity to Canadians. I agree that the grumpy people who are responsible are grumpy to everyone not just Canadians. I have met many Canadians and never found a bad one yet. We find different rules at every military rv park, so that calling ahead advice may help you. Passport club will save money and our national parks are wonderful for families. Don't miss Acadia in the Northeast.

and....

WELCOME!

Was at MacDill in February and there was a 5er with Ontario or Quebec tags camped there..

My view is our CDF friends should be welcome in all MCGs.
