I store my hauler and 5th wheel on post and the rates are great and the lot is fensed with a hard top surface, and who could ask for better than that, I would rather have it on post than at my home because today theves will monitor your home and when the RV is gone the house is empty and you come back to a robbed home, but on post everything looks normal except only 1 vehicle is missing and no one even in my neighborhood knows when we leave.
We stored our RV at Kings Bay NSB and had no issues. When MWR is open, they provided a key to be signed out. All other times, the key was available in the RV office or from the Camp Host after office hours. Cheap and secure!
Personally we have not stored our RV but Kings Bay has a new policy that went into effect very recently. Since many campsites are empty in the summer they will let you park your rig in the RV park in a site along the woods in the back for $20.00 more than the storage lot. Not sure but I believe they let you use the electric while it is stored and that is why the $20.00 additional. Many of our friends store their RV at Kings Bay and not once have we heard a complaint.
Does anyone have a list of installations that have RV Storage? I've looked through several websites and the contact and availablility are difficult to find if at all. What is the best way to find these facilities?
You are on a forum here with extremely knowledgeable RV'ers who probably can help you quicker than finding a list. Just indicate on the forum the area you want to store the RV and I would expect someone will be able to help you.
