Welcome to the forum. If you want a host job at a military base, it would probably be easier to find gas for $1.00 a gallon. It seems to be a matter of luck, just being in a Famcamp when they are looking for someone.

I think Karyl is right. The only thing uniform about military campgrounds is the lack of uniformity on how things are done.
Rarely do the positions get advertised in any widely available forum. You could send some E-mails to the camps that you are interested in.

Exactly, you probably have better odds getting elected President before finding a host position at a MCG, the ones around here have had their jobs since the inception of their campgrounds, Ocean Pines, 3 years; Sea Breaze 4-5 (I think); and Little Creek 18 years.
However, I got a spot doing work camp at our local KOA the day (Saturday) I walked in. So, if you realy want to get a host/work position, go to a civilian CG like KOA.

I took a forum members suggestion to sign up on Workamper.com Found out that there's lotsa opportunities available. Presently working for the National Forest Service.
