If you want to be a CG host I suggest you look at the US Forest Service or BLM websites. They're always advertizing for CG hosts.

If you're looking for a PAID camp host position for 2009, I have a few openings working in the Tahoe National Forest, CA. I still have openings for 2 hosts and 1 maintenance. Email me privately for more info.

Don't wait around to find a military campground position. You are missing out on a lot f fun. Just go to Workamper.com to look for a civilan campground positions. Joining is about $30 a year. Many positions are for your site only and some are paid for hours over. Most psitions require you to work 15-20 hrs each person for the site. Most include wlectric, water and sewer and some offer cable, WiFI, laundry or discounts on propane or items brought in the sotre. It is basically whatever you negotiate for the position. Also you need to develop a resume and post it on the workamper site. You can get a hotline e-mail five days a week that list jobs or you can go online to the community newsletter and read the job openings. Rarely, will you find a position at a military campground but there are many opportunities at government owned campground. If you need some help developing your resume, I will be glad to help you. My post-graduate degree was in Career Education. Good luck.

Hint: Start contacting campgrounds early for the season. Like the first of January for the summer or June for the winter. We lined our summer positions up two weeks ago. If you don't want to do bathrooms, don't apply for a position that will require you to do bathrooms or negotiate with the manger not to do bathrooms. Find the positions that fits your needs. Have fun that is why we motorhome. Jacque
