Sigsbee help was created by Vacation Bound
We are planning on going to Sigsbee next year for a couple of months, Nov. - Dec. I understand you have to rotate in and out. We have drycamped very little. We do have a generator onboard. What do people generally do for water & sewer? Do you have to go to the dump station or does someone come around? Are you able to get propane delivered? Any info or ideas would be appreciated.
Thank you

Sigbee has a dump sight and water available but you have to move over to them. When we were there last we ran our big diesel generator. If I was going to be there any length of time I'd take a portable, gas generator like many of the people in trailers did. They are very quiet and cost a lot less to operate. You only have to rotate in and out of hooks ups if there are more people there than there are hookups available. In November that may not be the case but as more folks pull in you will have to do that. When they have more rigs than full hook up sites then you can stay on hookups for two weeks then have to move and go back on the waiting list. I have no idea about propane since the tank on our motorhome only needs to be filled about once a year.

We have been forced into similar situations.. for two weeks.. even one week we revert back to camping.. well not real camping but closer than full hook ups..
Use the bath house.. bbq every night.. use paper plates..

Just a suggestion guys. I've been in Key West the last 4 years (this will be the first I've missed). Instead of bothering with rotating I just go straight to Trumbow and dry camp. They have water every 50 feet that you can fill tanks. If you don't want to move to the dump station you can masserate (sp)??? or blueboy. The last two years there has been a guy to come by and empty your tanks for a small fee $10.00. Plus onsite propane delivery.. Most get by with a Honda 2000 or equiv. genset. Best part is really good people you get to be "TRUMBOW TRASH" Its closer to downtown Just a short walk and very close to charter boat row.
HAVE FUN !!!

Thanks for the information. I guess we will learn as we go. The wife will endure a lot just to be warm during the winter.
Thanks again.

Sounds like everyone pretty much covered it. I've been there for the last three years and agree that if you arrive in Nov-Dec you probably won't have to rotate. After that, however, you will have to move onto a dry site after two weeks. I spent all of November 07 on full hook-up there.
This year (Jan 09) I plan to take the advice of the member that said to go straight to Trumbo. That's good advise. I didn't know about the truck that comes around to drain the holding thanks though. The access to water is a good thing too.
Being at Trumbo you are close to down ( a great feature) but some distance to the BX etc.
Have fun!
