Air Combat Command does not require the stickers they check every ID. Am researching the DBIDS that some bases are using. It is a system that is being used overseas and some bases are using, Peterson AB CO being one. Will post what info I get.

I posted the following on the 'base entrance'
ello everyone. Saw the postings on the ID entry identification scanning of ID cards. Have researched it and waiting for a reply to a message. Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIS) is being phased into US bases. It is being used at many overseas bases. Know it will be frustrating to many who are just visiting like we will be. If you are not in their system (as many of us will be) you will be sent to the visitor's center to be entered into system. It is very bad that all branches of the services have failed to notify retirees and those who do not go to the bases often of the impending changes. I am sure it is just as frustrating for the security forces concerned. With the overseas deployments many bases are using civilian companies at the base entry points. I am sure it is just as frustrating for the security forces concerned. As with progress we all have accept it. Will keep you posted

It is interesting that no base is the same, must be a pride thing. Air Command Command quit doing the sticker thing a couple of years ago because you have to stop anyway, and it saved them money for the stickers. Will check to see if they will issue stickers anyway. Am glad we have the income anyway not much E-6 and E-7 but it is there for the rest of our lives and allows us to quit work and travel. Will still research the scanner thing so it could help everyone.

On the way to Disney last week stopped at kings bay sub base for nights stay at the Navy lodge. Great place to stay. Stopped at main gate to get new decal for new vehicle. Pass center at main gate, in and out in about 10 minutes total. Decal good until 4/215

RVGrammy1953 is right. USAF is the only branch that doesn't require them. If you're going to stay at any other military branch base you're going to need a sticker. Get one.

Just shows the AF finally after lots of years how stupid stickers were and how much waste of money. They are doing 100% ID check so stickers are a waste of time.
