Full timing is not for everyone and whenmy wife suggested it I wasn't thrilled. We decided that we would sell our house but our stuff in storage and hit the road for one year. It was twelve years later when we finally bought another place and took our stuff out of storage. We now only travel seven months a year and if it wasn't for grandkids we would probably still be full timers. As you travel you will find the best ways to do things for your needs and pleasures. Enjoy it all but remember a couple of things; make sure that you have the right insurance coverage, when you sell your house you will lose your personal liability insurance and that is coverage you really need so make sure your insurance company gives you full timer coverage that will include that coverage. Second, and this is one most don't think of; have an exit strategy for when the time comes when you are ready to stop or slow down.
Enjoy your new life!

I certainly wish my lovely wife shared your attitude toward separation from "stuff." I feel as you, it is only "stuff", but she feels I really do not place enough sentimental value on "our stuff" and that must be the man in me. She needs to be more of a "nurturer" than a "gatherer." Thanks for sharing your views. Marty

Kim,
Kids and grandkids are tough to be away from. One way I keep in touch is I signed up on Facebook. It's is mainly aimed at the younger generation but you'd be amazed at how many seniors are on it. The kids are all on it and they interact with each other along with many other family members. It's a quick way to keep plugged in with them.

thank you for telling me about facebook ! i never thought abought about that site. i always thought that it was geared for younger kids not us older kids. after talking with our daughter she pointed out our grandkids are on facebook and have been for more than a year. i guess grandma does not ask the right questions and is always the last to find out about things. haha anyway my grandkids said they we teach me about facebook 101. so you can teach old dogs new tricks! so thank you again !
