We checked out several RV shows, kicked some tires and looked at several options before we went with our present combo. We like the idea of dropping the 'house' and exploring the area with a vehicle...With the Class A-Cs, you have to 'unplug' every time you want to go somewhere. We also have several friends with RVs, Class C, fifth wheel, and TTs. One couple is very experienced and have taken the ALCAN 4 times! I learned a LOT from them. We got a great deal on a used TT and towed it with a 1/2 ton GMC the first year. I wasn't totally comfortable with the rig and shopped around for a diesel. We are VERY happy with our current setup. In the end, do what's right for your circumstances and enjoy the ride!
