MWR Guest Card Program was created by Ftrooppilot
AT Corpus Christi NAS FAMCAMP for the last month. On a busy weekend I noticed many of the RV famlies were not Active, retired or 100% DAV. They were not even DOD Civilians; they were "locals."
The base has a MWR Guest Card program where a "friend or neighbor" can apply for a guest card @ $20.00 per year and use the golf course, marina, RV park, etc. All they have to do is pass a criminal background check and they get a picture ID card, guest MWR Card and and automobile windshield stickers.
Is this the norm at other bases ?
If a retired RV travler arrives and there is "no room" can he request one of the MWR guests be removed ?
An Interesting problem.

Interesting......I would think that if the place is packed upon arrival of AD or Retired person, the civilian would be asked to vacate a site...I'm just guessing, so would advise talking with the office folks what the policy is...would "tick" me off greatly if they didn't...

Just another way the MWR Is failing to fulfill Its own mission statement!!!!!
We pledge to meet the needs of our customers -- active, Reserve, and Guard soldiers, civilian employees, retirees, all respective family members.

What a Deal, we are loosing all of our priviledges to the civilians. It makes you wonder what the world is comming too. I hope that if someone ask the question about the civilian moving, they let us know.
