using a military campground

i was told that any % DAV could use the military campgrounds. i looked at a few, and i believe i was miss informed. i am 70% DAV. would my wife and i be able to use military campgrounds? thank you stan, ( 1969/1971 vietnam vet)

Thank you for your service Stan. I think you are right and you were miss-informed. If you look at the "Facility Info" section of this website, each campground has the authorized users. I think all the "DAV" listings are for 100% DAV. Happy Fathers Day

Sorry you were mis-informed. All of the regulations on "Who is authorized patronage of MWR facilities" states "Veteran with a honorable discharge that has a 100% service connected disability" is eligible. Maybe you can work on getting your rating upgraded to 100%??

Since you are 70% disabled, you could probably get unemployability at 100% pretty easy. All you need to do is apply and in your writeup tell how you can't work and have your Dr. write something for you. I would almost bet you could get unemployability.

thanks bill, i do have a claim in for unemployability, been about 7 months. i sent them all i could get, my docs, said they rest VA could get from computer system, but now they have that my claim is incomplete do to no receiving the medical records, so i'm sure i'll be turned down, i have diabetes, nuerophathy from diabetes, effected my vision, i have ringing in my ears, sometimes drives ya crazy, PTSD on meds, but still no real help in sight. any helpful suggestions? would appreciated. thanks for your time. stan

just got my paper work today, 100% unemployable.. now i need to know what and how i go about using military campgrounds. thanks
