No Military Campgrounds in Central Pa?

It's been a few years, but I stayed at a nearby state park. It was beautiful, but no hook-ups. I know there's commercial RV Parks near Gettysburg, but it's less expensive at the state park.
I'm someone else will chime in that has better info than I do.

There is one in Newville (Bloserville), which is about 30 minutes away. It's called Dogwood Acres and was campground of the year in 2011. That's the only one I can reoomend.

Lots of commercial/private campgrounds in the area...but if you'd like a "no frills" CG, try Cole Brothers Conewago Campground, 1507 Narrows Rd., Biglerville, PA....It's about 8 miles NW of Gettysburg on PA route 234 West. Mostly "Seasonal Campers", but they do have 15-16 sites aval. for short term stay. Water and Electric with dump station....on Sundays, they have a "honey wagon" for dumping at $5 charge. Phone # 717-677-8958. sites are gravel or grass, but somewhat level....Price per night is $25. Hope this helps....we have a seasonal site here, but are on our "wild west adventure" this year, so can't personally greet you. Let me know if you have questions...

your post is old and I'm wondering if the information on camping with an RV is still available. Have a 24 foot RV and want to see Gettysburg Sept 2019. Thank you!
