Just made a reservation at F.E. Warren AFB for July. They take reservations 30 days in advance. A number of years ago I had a terrible experience with a reservation that kept disappearing so I'm hoping things go smoothly this time. I spoke to a young lady named Donna that seemed competent but very busy. They are still not able to send an email confirmation from the campground which in this day and age seems like it should be easy to fix. Looking forward to our trip north and west. Safe travels to all.

Closing in on Cheyenne. Seems like I've been driving for weeks, through a corn field on I80. The last 3 campgrounds have been in the middle of corn fields. And none of it is ready to pick.

Enjoy the trip. It beats sitting in an office!

Another day, another cornfield. We've been doing 200 - 300 miles a day, sometimes less. I'm ahead of schedule so today we'll stop in Sidney Nebraska at the Cabella's for two days to kill some time. I don't want to arrive early at F.E. Warren given my previous problems with reservations and actually getting a site. Larry your right! RVing is like fishing in that a bad day of RVing is better than the best day at work. We got on I80 at the Poconos in Pa. Except for rain it's been an easy drive and the road surface for the most part has been great, with very little traffic. It's been, get on the road, set the cruise control and hang onto the steering wheel.

The Corn Palace in Mitchell, SD is worth a stop.

If you are traveling I-80, and unless you are already in Sydney, why not consider a stop at the Pioneer Village, located in Minden, NE? It’s about 15 miles south of Kearney, NE, and well worth the time. They have a FHU campground – I don’t remember the rates, but I think they are about $35/night. There are other CGs in the area.
