Suggestions for Washington and Oregon? was created by LK23
We plan to make our first trip to Washington and Oregon this fall. I would appreciate suggestions for "don't miss" military campgrounds as well as private campgrounds. We have a 40 foot motor home and try to find full hook-ups when possible.
We would also appreciate suggestions on routes to take.

I can only tell you of where I am staying. If you should make a run into North Cascade National Park, I am 13 miles west of the park staying at Alpine RV Park. Rates are 25 a night 100 a week, I dont think you would need the monthly rate. Good luck and enjoy your trip.
As for route, I am planning on leaving here and heading south on I5, thru Wa, Or, and into Ca, it looked the most promising.

One of my favorite parks is Icicle River RV Resort (icicleriverrv.com) near Leavenworth, WA. The park is well run by friendly folks and is located just west of the picturesque town on US Hwy 2. Beautiful area with a lot to see and do. I hear there is some good fishing nearby as well! Enjoy.

This is a caption from LK23's first post on this thread. I too am planning a trip to the NW next year and would like to know any of the above sites. UTMTMAN all you done is quote the military campgrounds from this site. That is no help as we can look them up. What we or should I say I want to know is your personal "don't miss" places or routes to take and use. I hope I have not offended anyone but that is what I wanted to know and I think that is what LK23 wanted to know in the original post.
