Kingsley Field at Klamath Falls is an Air National Guard Base. Very small but very friendly folks. It is very convenient if you are coming into Oregon from California on I-5 into the Central Oregon area, i.e Bend, Sunriver Resort area, etc. If this is your route then take US Hwy 97 North at the Weed exit in Northern California. Kingsley Field is a great stopover spot.
Camp Rilea is National Guard Base and is immaculately kept. RV sites are on the backside of the firing range berm. Great open walking areas. Well priced and great staff.
Our favorite campground in Washington is at Potlatch, WA and is a commercial park. A little spendy but right on Hood Canal. I mean right on it, maybe 150 feet from the farthest site. Wally and Ann are the managers and are wonderful. This is a small park so I would call early for reservations. This is a great sightseeing area and great for boating of all kinds.
Have also stayed several times at the Gray's Harbor Fairgrounds. About $25 per night for 50A and water. Dumpsite nearby. This fairground is the site of the Gray's Harbor Raceway as well. If you like Saturday Night dirt track racing this is your place. The ASCS Sprint cars run here periodically as do various modified classes. Call the ticket office and speak with Brenda for tickets. She provides the best in customer service.
Winchester Bay Oregon is one of the prettiest places on the Oregon Coast. Near Dunes National Park and has one 4wheeler rental place where you can rent a 4wheeler and drive right to the dunes. Great experience and you will get stuck, trust me.
The Pacific Northwest is wonderland for camping and I have only touched on several places. I have lived around this area for many years both while in the Navy as well as during retirement.
If you have specific questions just ask.
