New Website Slow was created by bba59h
Is it just me or does it seems that the new website is reall slow loading up pages? I'm on high speed cable now and whenever I go to a new site page it takes between 15-30 seconds to access the page.

It's slow for me too. My guess is that Larry is still working out the bugs. I like the improvements.

Is the "slowness" consistent or at certain times of the day?
At times, I also experience it being slow. However, I'm on a slower Satellite Internet connection and most times a page loads in a couple seconds.
I'm trying to narrow down the cause.

Under Explorer 7, there are times the site seemed slow to respond. Upgraded to Explorer 8 (beta), everything seems to load faster. Only time will tell.......

Larry,
It seems slow to me too. The DW complained this afternoon when she was reading through the forums (using satellite) and it has been slow for me reading in the evenings since you changed over. I have both satellite and a Verizon air card. I did some comparison page loads tonight between your site and Datastormusers and I tried on both the satellite and the air card. Basically it was taking about 5 times as long to load a forum page on your site than it was on Datastormusers, i.e. using my air card a forum page on Datastormusers was coming in in 2 seconds and a page on your site was taking 10 seconds. It seemed to take a long time between the click, and when the page got the address resovled. Once the page "flipped" over it came up very quickly. Might want to talk to whoever you does your DNS records. Just a guess.

I've also been hoping it would become faster. I've tried it on both computers (LT & DT) and am running Windows EP on both with Explorer. Campgraounds are super slow to bring up and move about in. The forums are almost as slow.
